The contribution analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national health system with particular reference to the role of the health care professional in patient management during the emergency state and the possibility of limiting, in view of the scarcity of technical and human resources, access to treatment of sick patients. The reflection takes into account, at the same time, the recommendations and opinions provided in this regard by institutional subjects and the role of the healthcare professional in the emergency management of the patient.

Desarrollo y evaluación de un sistema electrónico de alertas clínicas en el paciente oncológico

La asistencia en Oncología es más compleja que en otras especialidades; también el desarrollo e implantación de Sistemas Electrónicos. Ambos aspectos explican la escasa disponibilidad de aplicaciones informáticas para el tratamiento integral del paciente oncológico, el registro de la información generada durante su atención individualizada y los sistemas de seguridad con señales de alerta específicas del paciente. Actualmente los sistemas de seguridad disponibles dan lugar a alertas, en general, demasiado sensibles e inespecíficas que en un alto porcentaje no comprometen la seguridad del paciente, generando desinterés en el clínico.
